Never one to dissapoint artist/designer/creative Kevin Lyons recently was commissioned to design the cover for the Yale University Art Gallery spring 2009 calender. In the true Kevin Lyons fashion the piece features playful charectures Lyons has been known for through his years at the helm of Stussy as well as through his work with Nike, Adidas, and Arkitip. The “In Black and Gold” artist series has been an colloaborative effort between Yale Univertisy Art Gallery and such artist as Kevin Lyons, and Parra.
With Black History Month approaching Nike will continue its tradition of producing a AF1 signifying the important and preservation of Black History Month. Never released for retail these are produced and given to those within the community making waves and leading the acknowledgement of the Black History.
