With such a resounding legacy left behind in such a tragic way many have continued the legacy of legendary producer J. Dilla by releasing continuous projects surrounding his notorious unreleased beat tapes. But, with so many releases it is rare to find a gem of material which translates the J. Dilla sound and gives it new light much like the collaborative project from Dj Topspin, and longtime J. Dilla friend, and one half of the Detroit production duo Platinum Pied Pipers, Waajeed. Blending classic J. Dilla and PPP material with R&B and hip-hop staples, old and new, “The PPP Remixtape” is one release that any Dilla or PPP fan can and will appreciate.

The Bmore club music scene finally gets its official Lil Jon endorsement with his inclusion on DJ Class’s club classic “I’m The Ish”. On the Bmore club scene Dj Class is a name you see behind some of the biggest tracks within the scene, and this track could set the ghetto house, Detroit House, and New Jersey house music influenced genre into the mainstream focus.

Here we have footage from the showcase put on by The Black Apple: Theophilus London, CurT@!n$, and Mickey Factz at SOB’s this past weds. The packed house witnessed three of hip-hops up and coming talents, each with their own distinct sound yet collectively pushing the entire music industry to more progressive music. Theophilus London’s This Charming Mixtape has finally released and continuing our coverage of the project SLAMXHYPE will be offering the mixtape as a download for our loyal readers and followers. Those unfamiliar with Theophilus London’s work will find the project blends the lines of many music genres yet sustaining the true essence of the creator’s talent, something seldeomly kept when musical lines are blurred. We were also able to interview the artist and question his influences, upcoming projects, and goals.

Animal Collective’s new album Merriweather Post Pavilion sees the avant-garde group of musicians from Balitimore, MD continuing to push their own brand of psych-experiemental rock sound. Their sound is that very unique and the video for My Girls of of the aformentioned album paralles Animal Collective’s unique take and flair for their music visually.

Jay Electronica’s latest collaborative project with FWMJ, FWMJ & Jay Electronica present Scratches & Demo Tape Volume 1 has seen very few tracks released to the masses. One track Hagler see Jay Electronica rhyming over a Mr. Porter track with the aid of Lessondary crew member Che Grand.

Tour De Ville opened their doors to the public not to long ago, and Yorgo Tioupas has brought us the first glimpses of the shops vintage bikes frames from two of london’s biggest names in the bike scene master builder Keith James and Jos “Da Boss” van Veldhoven. The shop’s vintage frames are one of the best collections in london and the shops pristine minimalistic aesthetics complement the collections history. the shop also serves as a repair station and for those weary bikers who stop in the homely feel is brought to light by the complimentary beverages served. A must stop for the London bike enthusiasts.

Know for their high fashion asthetics Dutch brand house Viktor & Rolf always produce a collection of “americana” inspired pieces to balance out their releases. This years spring/summer release sees the brand releasing a classic stadium jackets along side a pair of tee shirts and a crew neck fleece. With Before There Was Love, the Mick Boogie backed mixtape from U-N-I, set to release soon the LA based duo along side their close friend and producer Ro. Blvd have begun to release pieces from the project to create a buzz. U-N-I enlists the help of Detroit native Black Milk to add his flow to the DiBia$e produced track.
