Theophilus London – TNT: This Charming Mixtape Preview

SLAMXHYPE has been given the privileged of showcasing a bit more of the upcoming material from Theophilus London’s This Charming Mixtape set to be released this Friday January 23rd. TNT is another standout track from the release and pits Theophilus London against a synth heavy track from his close producer and friend Machine Drum, a talent in is own right. Josep Abril Spring/Summer 2009 Collection

Taking his color palate from the stone Malachite, or better known as copper carbonate, Barcelona based designer Josep Abril recently showcased his spring / summer menswear collection which features a wide ranges of green hues all seen within the gem’s natural form. Using the gem’s natural color of green Josep Abril’s collection also gives hints of suggested colors of pearl and white in his collection to balance out his collections pieces. Malachite, used as a gem or a ornamental stone, is said to have healing powers as well as driving way nightmares from wearer bringing good luck.

Abe Vigoda – House

Abe Vigoda’s Reviver EP sees the group of LA based artist pushing the sound of their music to a more controlled paced thought process. Fans of Abe Vigoda will still be able to sense the groups distinctive frantic jam band sound but will be introduced to a refreshing structure to their music. House is a good example of the new Abe Vigoda sound with the manic pace of old. Reviver is set for a US release Feburary 17th.

Raf Simons for Eastpak Spring/Summer 09

After three seasons the final collection of Raf Simons‘ collaboration with Eastpak will come to a resounding end with the release of the S/S 09 collection. Previously showcased with three other pieces, this second collection, inspired by “Haute” travel, features a modern apporach to the old fashion traveler of years old. The oversized bags showcase futuristic materials that range from metallic leathers to the traditional leather piping. Each piece is currently available at Oki-ni.
